Mini Sessions

A family mini session is a short and sweet photography experience designed to capture genuine connection in a relaxed, fun way. Perfect for busy families who want beautiful, updated photos without a long session—focused on natural moments, movement, laughter, and the love you share, all in a thoughtfully chosen location.

This is a great option that I offer seasonally. Mini sessions are only available on select dates and cannot be requested individually.

Your session will be 70 % posed and 30% playful without spending too much time in front of the camera!

Price is for up to 5 people. $15 per additional person or pet.

Mini sessions are 20-30 minutes.

FAQ

How much is the in initial payment?

Payment Details

A 50% retainer of $212.50 is due at the time of booking to reserve your session date. The remaining balance will be due prior to your session.

Why Is the Retainer Non-Refundable?

Your non-refundable retainer secures your session date and removes it from my calendar so I can fully reserve that time for your family. In the event that you need to cancel, this payment helps cover the time and preparation that has already gone into planning your session — including communication, coordination, and any location scouting done beforehand.

This policy allows me to continue serving all of my clients well while keeping cancellations to a minimum.

Please note that travel fees and any studio rental fees are also non-refundable if a session is missed.

What If I Want Something Edited or Photoshopped in My Photos?

For all sessions, I include basic editing, such as removing people or distracting elements from the background. I also do minor blemish touch-ups if requested.

If you would like a head swap or similar special edit, there is a fee of $10 per image. Please reach out after gallery has been delivered.

What if I'm Late?

I completely understand that life happens and delays can come up. However, arriving late will reduce the amount of time we have for your session, as all sessions end at their originally scheduled time.

If I have not heard from you, I will wait up to 20 minutes past your scheduled start time. After that, the session will be considered a no-show and canceled. In that case, the retainer and any associated travel or location fees will be forfeited.

If you’re running behind, please reach out as soon as possible. I’m happy to wait longer than 20 minutes if we’ve communicated — just keep in mind that the session will still conclude at the originally scheduled end time.

If we are meeting in an area with limited cell service, it’s especially important to contact me before losing reception to avoid an unintended cancellation.

How can I prepare for my family session?

I want your session to feel fun, relaxed, and stress-free — and the best way to make that happen is a little preparation beforehand. Here’s how to get ready for your experience with me:

1. Receive my Experience Guide

Once your session is booked, I’ll send you my Experience Guide, which includes everything you need to know to prepare — from outfits to posing tips, and even a seasonal color palette to help your family coordinate beautifully.

2. Choose Your Outfits

Coordinate, don’t match! My Experience Guide includes color scheme suggestions for every season, making it easy to pick outfits that complement each other and the location. Keep comfort in mind, especially for little ones — when everyone feels good in what they’re wearing, it shows in your photos.

3. Plan for Timing

Try to plan around your child’s nap or meal times so everyone is rested and happy. If you have young kids, bringing a favorite snack, toy, or comfort item can help keep the session smooth.

4. Hair, Makeup, and Details

Simple touches go a long way! Clean, styled hair and minimal makeup help keep the focus on your connection rather than distractions. Accessories, layers, and textures can add depth to your images — just don’t overthink it!

5. Relax and Have Fun

The most important part: come ready to enjoy your time together. I’ll guide your family through poses and playful moments so you don’t have to worry about looking perfect. My goal is for you to leave with photos that feel natural, authentic, and full of joy.

What is your turn around time?

I will give your gallery edited and sent to you digitally in an online gallery within 1-2 weeks. I will share sneak peek on my social media stories 12-24 hours later than your session if you give me permission.

“You focus on your people. I’ll focus on the moments.”
